Classic Weather

Reliable and easy to understand. I recommend.

Classic Weahther

Funktionier super, sehr empfehlenswert

It works, but not what I was looking for.

While the app works, I find the interface doesnt take advantage of the Macs screen size and it seems more suitable to the iPhone or iPad. The app does give a bit more information than the built-in Macintosh weather widget, such as hourly forecasts but leaves off things like weather maps, rain amounts, humidity, etc. I also found the program attempts to "phone home" upon launch (www.demodit.ch port 80).

weak

Can they not make a weather appp that runs and shows temps by the clock. I have deleted this app.

ok

It works, but the UI can be better, at least it should show on menu bar and start at login.

Very nice, but interface could be better

First, note that you can only display 3 cities unless you buy the Premium version, which I did. Almost all of my comments from v1.0 still apply to v1.2, which I think is unfortunate. From what I can tell, v1.1 is only a very minor change from v1.0. The interface continues to be straight from iOS and should be more Mac-like. Specifically, the cities are always lined up in a horizontal single row (like youd do for iOS), and the maximum number of cities displayed depends on the [smaller of] user-set window size or monitor size. The most I can display is 4 stations on any of my displays, (15" MacBook Pro and 1900x1200 desktop). All the author lets you do is change window size and spacing between station panes. Instead, I continue to encourage the autho tor: - Allows users to resize the city windows. Two approaches could work: autosize depending on the total window size, or let users set the size similarly to the way Icon View works in the Finder. - Allow users to specify the number of rows, ot at least give us an option to attempt to fit more cities into a window instead of forcing the user to perpetually scroll horizontally to see hidden cities. - Allow users to reorder city panes within the GUI. Currently this can only be done by dragging in the Cities pop-out drawer. The app is still a decent way to connect to Weather Underground, but Im pretty frustrated with its very limited display options. Im almost to the point of chucking this app and returning to using multiple weather widget windows.

A good weather app

A pretty good weather app. Could be developed into something much better.

Misleading

This lite version only allows 3 locations, while screenshots show multiple locations… as many as 8. The paid version has more. Why don’t they just say that up front?

Like that it gives sunrise/sunset times, too!

Gives a quick summary of essential information, high/low, chance of precipitation and current temperature on a daily, hourly or 6 day basis. I live in Los Angeles, so that is usually all the weather information I need. Can’t go wrong with this app.

For the price is gives just what I need

Seems fairly accurate. Would like to see a menu bar icon with temperature and weather icon.

CLASSIC WEATHER

Clean, simple display is useful and easy to use. Have added more locations and found all are manageable.

Simple, Clean, Easy

I like this app because, as the title indicates, it is simple, clean (meaning uncluttered with distraction), and easy to use. It does precisely what it intends to do. It is a model of what all apps should aspire to be, and I wish there were more apps were like this one.

Junk

It’s just a way to get you to buy the HD version. I deleted it.

Exactly all I needed in a weather app

I wanted an app that tells the weather without all the analytical information that sometimes comes along with it. This app did exactly what I needed with a few added bonuses that I did not expect such as the sunrise/sunset feature. I enjoy the 10 day forcast and being able to click on the “text" tab and having a descriptive written forcast of the day going into the evening. I am very satisfied with this purchase

Awesome weather app

Has it all (almost) and its easy to use. The only thing missing for me is low/high tide information as I live about an hour from the coast.

Awesome App- Awesome Devleoper

I bought this app and its simply awesome ! After I bought the app, I suggested some features and then they added them, Such a super awesome weather app. I use this to see weather across the country. Thanks so much

A boring app

Not too many thrills. Just a plain 6 day forecast. There is no menu bar temperature.

Desktop vs. iOS

Although set to the same location, this desktop version always seems to show more optimistic current and forecast high temps than the iOS version.

I like it when it works.

Several time a week I notice that the icon in my dock is not showing any temperature reading. I can open the app and then the temperature will reappear in the dock, again, but it would be nice if it worked all the time.

Weather forecast as I like it

Great layout, accurate, especially like the linking screens between different locations. This is a complete app.
