Perhaps I just cannot find it,…..but it just seems to be a weather forecast app. There are many of those out there,……but it would be nice if it was more like Accuweather for a desktop. Forcast and radar. It is a decent enough app all in all if a forecast is all you desire.
“ClassicWeather has a lot going on, and is great for being very specific for your local, or chosen weather area. It gives many angles on the weather condistions and I think most people want to do a little in-depth study of this application. Many things are noted, and many options exist in the “preferences”. It is very compatable with the "Apple" way of doing things, and works well with my Macs. Thank you, ClassicWeather.
There is a discrepancy of more than 5°F between what the app says my local temperature is and what my indoor/outdoor thermometer reports (my thermometer says its warmer). My sensor is located on a wall which faces due north, protected from direct sunlight, and so should be relatively accurate. The temperature on my thermometer agrees much more closely with other weather apps. Another glitch is that in the preferences, the “Full location name” checkbox is overlaid by the “10 days” checkbox. Makes it pretty hard to select the full location name option. It’s not perfect but it’s adequate. I haven’t found another weather app for OS X I like better. In IOS I usually use Accuweather.
I’m using Classic Weather on a MacBook Pro currently running Yosemite 10.10.3. I have it set to show me the weather in two locations. It was easy to configure, and I get instant weather with one click.
Does the job for me!
Great widget. Does its job. Just enough detail.
I Downloaded this App Without expecting much but after using fell inlove with it, the simplysity, looks, and three different cities i can configure on free App is amazing. Thanks to the Developers.
Before I updated to OS X 10.9 (Yosemite) I was a heavy user of Dashboard widgets. Given the state of widgets in Yosemite, however, I needed to find another convenient weather app. ClassicWeather is it. Sits in my menu bar until I want it and gives me the info I’m looking for. Except for radar; during storm season (that is, most times) it’s useful to know which way the storm is headed. For everything else, though, ClassicWeather is great.
Finally, a weather app that gives me quick information about places of interest for me. Easy to use and read at a glance. It’s easy to set up or change. Nicely done!
This is a good app for checking the weather and since I like to be outdoors when it sunny and warmish (but not hot). this gives a good hourly estimate.
This is simply an app that looks like an HTML page. IT IS NOT A DASHBOARD WIDGET AT ALL!
This app is easy to use and full of info that can be acquired for many places and displayed in an easy on the eyes format.
